A Civilization Phase Shift— The Moonshot Fractal

‘History does not repeat itself, but it rhymes’. 50 years ago today, Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon with the words ‘one small step for man, and one giant leap for mankind’. Half a century on we have an invitation for another giant leap for humankind — A civilization fork towards a win-win regenerative abundant world.

There is a phase shift underway that feels like a planetary metamorphosis. The caterpillar of peak capitalism, peak consumerism and peak individualism is experiencing a chrysalis moment. The Imaginal Cells of our planet are imagining an alternative reality for our shared future.

I have no doubt that we are living through a Golden Age for systems change. In my travels for Civana I encounter countless transformative solutions that are reimagining every aspect of how we live. There is a great redesign project underway on every pillar of an enlightened civilization. Our healthcare systems, education systems, financial systems, energy production, governance, democracies, food systems, even the human operating system and so much more are being reimagined. There is a new social contract emerging through collective intelligence. This is arguably the most exciting time to be alive in the history of the planet.

The moonshot was one of the most symbolic examples of collective intelligence and coordination. Like the moonshot, the best part of this crescendo moment in the story is the coherence building through collective intelligence. I am sensing a moment where we are remembering who we are and what we are here to do. This is birthing the Cathedral Project of the Twenty-First Century and every citizen is invited to contribute their humble brick. What is needed is the mortar — the connective tissue — the operating system — that provides the ecosystemic conditions for the caterpillar to become the butterfly. This is foundational to the vision behind Civana. We aim to do our part to optimize the flow of resources necessary for a thriving global civilization for all. This starts with us as individuals and then flows into the communities we belong to. It is a fractal by design.

Today, I celebrate and salute the giants whose shoulders we stand upon. Today, I remember the future for what I know we will become. Today, I dream of our planetary civilization. These are not dreams I have in my sleep, but the dreams that prevent me from sleeping.
